VIP tours to South Africa

T he Garden Route is a picturesque coastal strip between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, the largest city in the Eastern Cape. A vibrant mosaic of African nature is concentrated here within a relatively short 700-kilometer stretch. On the way from Cape Town to Watsworn, you enter the semi-desert of the Little Karoo. The semi-desert gives way to the Outeniki Mountains, then subtropical coastal resorts and ocean beaches, and finally the tropical forests of Tsitsikamma. This is the route for a vibrant and action-packed journey leading to the Eastern Cape.

Safari Tours in South Africa

S outh Africa's Private Reserves offer a no-crowd safari, luxury safari-style lodges, superb service, gourmet cuisine, spa, guest-centered care and wild nature. Some lodges are not fenced, and animals come directly to the territory, sometimes you can see an elephant by the pool, and sometimes even a leopard on your own terrace. Another important feature of a private reserve is the ability to move freely, while in a state park you can move strictly along the road. This is a very significant moment, since many animals are tracked down and found on the tracks, and animals do not always walk only on roads. Top 7 Private Game Reserves: Mala Mala, Londolosi, Singita, Thornybush, Kapama, Sabi Sands, Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Reserve

Isimangaliso Water District

A national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, this unique ecosystem supports the biodiversity of this natural resource and is therefore crucial for our planet. The park encompasses 280 km of coastline and coastal waters, offering the opportunity to see elephants, rhinos, and whale sharks during a single safari. Also within the parks boundaries is the Santa Lucia Estuary, where cruises are offered.

Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve

About 2.5 hours drive from Durban is Umfolozi Game Reserve, one of the oldest game reserves. Its hilly terrain is home to a huge population of rhinoceroses, herds of elephants, and buffalo. Lions and leopards prey on ungulates. But on safari, youll also see shy nyala antelope, graceful giraffes, and photogenic zebras. There are also cheetahs, wild pigs, hyenas, the largest antelope, the eland, and a wide variety of other animals, birds, and reptiles.

Addo Elephant National Park (Garden Route).

The park opened in 1931 with 16 elephants; today, it has 550! Its territory has expanded to nearly half a million acres, stretching from the arid Karoo plateau in the north to the oceanfront marine reserve, home to the largest colony of Cape cormorants and African penguins in the south. In Addo Park, you can see not only elephants but also most African mammals, including lions, buffalo, black rhinoceros, leopards, and zebras.

Shamwari Nature Reserve (Orchard Road)

This is one of the most famous parks, offers luxurious lodges for guests to stay in, among which were royals and many Hollywood celebrities. John Travolta loves to fly here on his plane and watch as giant eagles soar in a clear blue sky. In this malaria-free park, you can see the whole Big Arfican Five and a huge number of other animals and birds.

Pilanesberg National Park

The closest park to Johannesburg with the Big Five is very popular because of its easy reach, beautiful nature, the absence of malaria, the presence of the most interesting African mammals and developed infrastructure. There are several lodges of different price categories and levels in the park. The park is located in the ancient crater of an extinct volcano, it is noticeable by the characteristic landscape and rings of scattered stones in places.

Madikwe Reserve

One of South Africas most beautiful parks, undeservedly rarely visited by tourists, this park has an impressively successful history of conserving African animals. In 1991, here, on the border with Botswana, there were only 740 square kilometers of land allocated for the reserve from private ranches that were unprofitable due to the barren land. Today, this land is home to 60 mammal species, including the Big Five.

TIGERS IN THE WILD NATURE OF South Africa

If you are a Big Cat lover, a photographer, or want to see white tigers in the wild (not found anywhere else in the world), you might want to try a night vision safari behind the Karoo semi-desert, or you are just in search for unique experiences - then Tiger Canyon will not disappoint you!

E verything here is permeated with the magical energy of tigers. This is probably the only place in the world where you can see them in large numbers, up close, quickly, without dust or crowds. Tiger Canyon offers vast expanses, surreal landscapes, fantastic sunsets, and an endless starry sky. Besides tigers, you can spot cheetahs, rare antelope, servals, and secretive nocturnal creatures, including the arvark and aardwolf.

GREEN KALAHARI ON ORANGE RIVER

W hy its so special: A trip away from the crowds. A safari unlike any other, a new experience for those who have seen classic game reserves and all of the African Big Five. World-class fly fishing. A combination of safari and river adventures. Leopard Protection Project. A great opportunity to observe rare nocturnal animals. Picnic on a boat and birdwatching. A paradise for hiking through untouched nature.

WHAT HIDES THE CALAGADES

Kalagadi Transnational Park

Kalagadi Transnational Park is a part of the Kalahari the size of the Netherlands or like two Kruger parks. It stretches across South Africa and Botswana, away from the mass routes. You should definitely come here to hear the roar of a black-maned lion, try a safari on the sand dunes and see a rich fauna that was able to adapt to the harsh conditions of survival. The nights in the Kalahari are incomparable. Overhead, the starry dome of the sky opens and the Milky Way rises. Here you can find lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals, and many small predators. You will see how importantly the secretary bird walks, the ostrich kicks up dust in the mating dance, and a small measles falls like a stone from a height to impress a girlfriend. You can also see the Bushmen here.

Visa, flight, security, useful information

Visa

Since March 31, 2017, holders of Russian general civil passports no longer require a visa to South Africa for leisure or business travel for stays of up to 90 days. Minors must bring a birth certificate with a translation.

Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) +2 Hours

Money

The South African currency is the rand, denoted by the symbol R. There are 100 cents in one rand. The rand exchange rate to the dollar is approximately 17-18 rands, and to the ruble, approximately one to five.
Most international credit cards, such as MasterCard, Visa, and others, are accepted in South Africa. Most bank ATMs are open 24 hours a day. Hotels and shops also accept cards.

Language

Eleven languages have been approved as official languages, mainly African dialects, and English, which is the most widely used.

Flight

Flights to South Africa are offered by numerous airlines. Unfortunately, there are currently no direct flights from Russia to South Africa, so connecting flights are necessary. Departures can be scheduled for any day, as most airlines operate daily flights from Moscow, St. Petersburg, and several other Russian regions. The flight, including connections, takes approximately 12-14 hours. The most popular airlines on this route include Emirates via Dubai, Turkish Airlines via Istanbul, Etihad via Abu Dhabi, Qatar Airways via Doha, and Ethiopian Airways via Addis Ababa. Aeroflot, British Airways, Lufthansa, and other airlines also offer flights through Europe, in conjunction with South African Airways, the national carrier of South Africa.
Arrival and departure are carried out at one of three international airports in South Africa: OR Tambo in Johannesburg, Cape Town International Airport in Cape Town, Durban King Shaka International Airport in Durban.
The average roundtrip flight from Moscow costs around €500, including taxes. During peak season (such as the New Year holidays), the cost is significantly higher, so its wise to book your flight in advance.
South Africas well-developed flight network makes it easy to combine travel with other African countries. For example, flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town to Mauritius, the Seychelles, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar, as well as Kenya and Tanzania.

Health and safety

No special vaccinations are required for visiting South Africa. If you are traveling to some areas of Mpumalanga or are also visiting neighboring countries (Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique), consult a specialist about malaria prophylaxis (topical repellents or tablets).
The South African sun has high UV levels. It is recommended to use sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher, sunglasses, and a hat.
In terms of personal safety when visiting tourist destinations, everything is fine. The country is developing dynamically, rumors of rampant crime are clearly exaggerated, and elephants dont roam the streets. Any guide will always help you navigate the area. Well create a detailed travel itinerary.
