The famous Cliff Path Walk at Hermanus is one of the town’s most beautiful natural features. It meanders for 12 kilometres along the rugged coastline – an invigorating walk offering some quiet time in the presence of the powerful sea.
Trails in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve
Fernkloof Nature Reserve has a 60-kilometre network of trails, varying from gentle ambles to strenuous hikes, all showcasing the spectacular views of Hermanus and the vast sweep of Walker Bay. More than 1,250 species of plant species, including several unique floral wonders, are there to enjoy.
We can recommend a route appropriate for your fitness level, and arrange for a knowledgeable guide to accompany you and arrange a picnic for you to enjoy en route. For a more challenging excursion, hike the 12-kilometre Zig Zag Trail from Birkenhead House to Fernkloof, and you won’t be disappointed.
