Your African experience starts with a twenty minute light aircraft transfer from Maun over the south-western Delta,

Saguni Safari Lodge is situated in Moremi East in the Okavango Delta. It is nestled in an island of mature riparian trees, typical of the Okavango Delta. The Lodge overlooks the ‘Mbudi Lagoon’, in the beautiful game-rich area of Khwai. The name ‘Saguni’ is a bushman name for Khwai, meaning “an area with abundance of game and spectacular sights”.
The Camps accommodation consists of 8 Luxury River Tents and 9 Forest Tents. The tents are spacious and furnished in a classic style ensuring that time between activities is spent relaxing comfortably.
The Lodge offers open vehicle photographic safaris and walking safaris. Besides the day-time game drives, which can feature Africa’s big attractions – lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe, there is also the option to experience a night drive. Cultural visits and mokoro excursions are all available at Saguni.

At Gunn’s Camp, set along the papyrus-clad banks of the Okavango Delta, one becomes part of the bustling river life. Explore the wilderness with our game drives, guided bush walks, or sit back and absorb the scenery from a traditional 'mokoro' canoe.
The walks take place on Chief’s Island, in the Moremi Game Reserve. Mokoro excursions: each guide takes two guests by mokoro to different areas of the Reserve, where the focus is not solely on the larger species but learning about the habits of the smaller animals, sighting birds and learning their calls, as well as identifying plantlife and their medicinal uses.
Another great way to explore the crystal clear channels of the Boro River is by motor-boat. Watch the sun set whilst drifting along a lagoon and sipping sundowners. For the adventurous, we also offer a rustic island camping experience. Game drives will be available only when water levels are low. There will be no game drives when water levels are high as areas of the concession become inaccessible. Mokoros, boat cruises & fishing are also water level dependent.
The flagship accommodation offered at Gunn's Camp consists of 6 fully furnished, deluxe Kenya-style meru tents with en-suite bathrooms featuring standalone baths and outside private showers. Set on raised platforms overlooking the delta plains Gunn’s Camp is ideal for honeymooners or guests looking for a more intimate and personalized safari experience. All 6 tents are discretely set within the densely treed island ensuring privacy and tranquility. Each has been traditionally furnished with an eclectic mixture of solid wood and African furniture and offers a lounge area as well as private veranda. The accommodation area is connected to the main camp via raised wooden walkway crossing the wetlands and magically lit by a series of fairylike lanterns. Guests have access to the elevated bar, lounge and dining room, campfire boma and swimming pool.

Become part of the bustling river life by easing between the papyrus clad banks on traditional 'mokoro' canoes. For full day trips, Gunn's Camp prepares delicious picnic lunches which can be enjoyed on a Delta island after an exhilarating bush walk.
A great way to explore the crystal clear channels of the Boro River. Motor-boat cruises are organised in time to toast the unprecedented African sunsets while drifting on a lagoon in the middle of the Okavango Delta. Watch as the mutating colours are reflected in the smooth waters, disturbed only by dipping swallows or curious hippos.
