All the main and public areas of the camp have been extensively refurbished in a 'safari chic' style including a newly designed bar and library area, the extension of the dining room and the addition of a pizza deck with pizza oven. A new orientation room where guests can learn more about the Delta before going on game drives has been added as well as a gym and kids play room.

Overlooking the legendary Chief’s Island and bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, Gunn’s Camp is one of the last
few remaining luxury, vintage safari camps. Set under leafy palms and African Ebony to blend naturally with its

Your African experience starts with a twenty minute light aircraft transfer from Maun over the south-western Delta,
taking in the magnificence of the winding, papyrus fringed channels that make up one of the world’s greatest wet land

The Lodge overlooks the ‘Mbudi Lagoon’, in the beautiful game-rich area of Khwai. The name ‘Saguni’ is a bushman name for Khwai, meaning “an area with abundance of game and spectacular sights”.
The Camps accommodation consists of 8 Luxury River Tents and 9 Forest Tents. The tents are spacious and furnished in a classic style ensuring that time between activities is spent relaxing comfortably.
The Lodge offers open vehicle photographic safaris and walking safaris. Besides the day-time game drives, which can feature Africa’s big attractions – lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe, there is also the option to experience a night drive. The food at Saguni Safari Lodge is of a high standard and fresh ingredients are used as far as possible to create a delicious and varied menu. You will never go hungry, as there is an abundance of food at each meal, not to mention high tea, which is served every afternoon as well as scrumptious snacks for you to enjoy on your activities.
Meal times are based around the activities and are either served outdoors on the decking area or in the warmth of the dining room.
Dinner is a sociable affair. Main courses are buffet-style, with plated starters and desserts. After dinner enjoy a drink around campfire listening to the cacophony of night sounds.
Khwai airstrip is 20 minutes away from Saguni Lodges. This is a 30 minute flight from Maun.

Experience a tranquil mokoro (traditional dug out canoe) trip with the best and carefully trained specialist guides. Travel along the fascinating Mbudi water channels of Khwai. This stunning area is known as the Sable Alley system of the Khwai river.
The bar at Saguni Safari Lodge is well positioned to enjoy views of the lagoon. Enjoy a picturesque Delta sunset, with your favourite sundowner, watching the colours intensify long after the sun has set.
No children under 6 years of age are permitted at Saguni Safari Camp. Children between 6 and 12 years shall per permitted on activities at
the sole discretion of the guide.
There are 4 stretcher beds that allow for 1 child under 12 years to be accommodated in the same tent as the parents (subject to availability).
Cultural visits and mokoro excursions are all available at Saguni.
There are either twin beds or a conversion to a double bed. Each tent is well-positioned for ultimate privacy and seclusion. All tents feature a luxurious en-suite bathroom and close to the riverfront surrounded by mature riparian trees.
