An eco-friendly property built using only commercially grown wood. The camp is raised above the permanent water of the Boro River while wooden walkways connect the main areas and luxury rooms. The swimming pool and the wide wooden deck that surrounds the main dining and sitting room is the ideal place to relax while observing the varied wildlife present here. Watch hippos wallow at the edge of the lagoon that the camp overlooks, or see one of the many elephants who live in the area. Baines’ is also one of only two camps to offer you the opportunity to walk with elephants.
Chitabe Camp is situated in a private concession area on an island in the south-east of the Okavango Delta. Playing host to a breathtaking mosaic of wooded, wetland and grassland habitats, the area is famed for its incredible numbers and diversity of wildlife, in particular predators.
Kadizora Camp is situated between the Vumbura River and Selinda Spillway. It lies in the remote northern part of the Okavango Delta over-looking a panoramic seasonal floodplain.
The Camps accommodation consists of 4 Standard Tents and 9 Luxury Tents, each one well-positioned to provide privacy and iconic views of Africa. The tents are spacious and furnished in a classic style ensuring that time between activities is spent relaxing comfortably. Kadizora is the only camp in the Okavango Delta to offer hot air ballooning. You have the option, of booking an early morning hot air balloon flight to soar over the Delta at sunrise and view game from above.

The flight time from Maun to Kadizora Camp is approximately 35 minutes. As you fly over the Delta to Kadizora Camp, you will experience breath-taking scenery. From Kasane the flight time is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes and from other Delta camps it will be around 30 minutes. Any air charter company can use Kadizora Airstrip and we can organise your flight, or you can plan your own trip using the local charter companies.
Children between the age of 6 and 12 years - there are 4 stretchers that allow for 1 child under 12 years to be accommodated in the same Luxury Tent as the parents (subject to availability and only in the Luxury Tents) – 50% of the per person sharing rate when sharing with two adults on request only.
No children under 6 years of age are permitted at Kadizora Camp. Children 6 – 12 years shall be permitted on activities at the sole discretion of the guide.
Kadizora Camp is fortunate to have traditional mokoros (dug-out canoes) which glide through the Delta water channels and provide an opportunity to view the aquatic wildlife from a close vantage point. The crystal, clear waters are filtered by large papyrus reed beds and is clean enough to drink.
Game Drives in an open safari vehicle allows you to explore some of the varied vegetation this World Heritage site has to offer. Drive through semi-desert sands, dense Mopani woodlands and marshy floodplains. The area is home to a vast species of game including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dogs, hyena, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, red letchwe, impala, honey badgers, hippos and crocodile, to name a few.
The Okavango Delta represents one of the last truly unspoilt wilderness areas in Africa, and remains one of nature’s marvels, characterised by the gentle flooding of endless plains. The northern areas of the delta feature larger expanses of savannahs punctuated by lagoons and
tributaries, and it is on the banks of one these that a magnificent site has been selected for Kadizora Camp.
Beneath a majestic stand of trees and along a peninsula, commanding uninterrupted panoramic vistas of the delta, the camp has been set out to afford each of the Standard and Luxury Tents absolute privacy
This is the only area in the Okavango Delta to offer hot air ballooning. Your Hot Air Balloon Safari begins with an early morning departure from Kadizora Camp, driving through the floodplains to the balloon launch site. On this pre-dawn safari, you may be fortunate enough to see sightings of nocturnal wildlife. On arrival at the launch site, you will be served tea or coffee, while the balloon is being rigged and inflated ready for your flight. Hot air ballooning is available on request during the peak season for 15 April – end August.

The food at Kadizora Camp is of a high standard and fresh ingredients are used as far as possible to create a delicious and varied menu. You will never go hungry at our Camp as there is an abundance of food at each meal, not to mention high tea which is served every afternoon.
Meal times are based around the activities and are either served outdoors on the decking area or in the warmth of the dining room.
Dinner is a sociable affair, main courses are buffet-style, with plated starters and desserts. After dinner enjoy a drink around the campfire listening to the cacophony of night sounds.
