This is a walk for 2-3 hours. You will visit the historic city center - the market, which was founded in 1904. Here we can get acquainted with the assortment of local significance. Huge fruit rows, outlandish fruits and spices. In addition to the goods, the market gives us the opportunity to feel the pulse of this African-Muslim island, to hear the multi-spike of different dialects of local languages. After the market, we head to the Anglican Cathedral, built by Bishop Steers in 1874 near the market where human goods were traded. After all, Zanzibar was one of the largest centers of the slave trade. We will see the premises where the slaves were kept. The next point on our route is the National Museum of Zanzibar, which will take us back to the past by 1925. Among the exhibits are many relict objects of the Sultanate era and objects testifying to the early explorers of East Africa. Another stop is the Portuguese Fort (1700) and the mysterious House of Wonders (1883).
We will walk along the narrow old streets of the Stone Town, where many houses have survived a century and a half ago.
