Selus Park Day 1
Flight to Selous Park, safari day, return to Zanzibar.
Departure from Zanzibar Airport at 08:00. Arrive at the Mtemere airstrip in Selous at 09:00, you will be greeted by your guide for briefing, followed by a full day safari to the reserve.
Selous Game Reserve is a protected wildlife that has remained untouched for thousands of years. Covering a total area of about 54,600 km2, it is almost 6% of Tanzania's land surface. Selous is the size of Switzerland. The Rufiji River flows through the reserve. The park is home to over 430 species of birds and 60 species of mammals, including many wild animals including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and crocodiles. It is a unique environment rich in water, canals and lakes. It is abundant in wildlife and less visited by tourists compared to the northern parks.
During the safari, you will stop for a picnic lunch amid beautiful open spaces, beautiful landscapes with breathtaking views of wildlife in their natural habitat.
In the afternoon you will be taken to the runway for departure at 16.15. Arrival at 17.30 in Zanzibar.

Safari Car
4x4 Land Cruiser (6-7 seats)
This is a specially equipped safari car with a roof opening. At crossings between parks we drive with a closed roof, when we enter the park and the safari begins, then the guide raises the roof.
Inside, the car interior frame is monolithic, and because of the shaking on unpaved roads, this is the safest option.
