Day 4
Safari in Saadani Park
Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with a Russian-speaking guide and at 8-30 am transfer by boat (1.5 hours) to Saadani Park, located on the mainland of Tanzan. Safari in the park with picnic lunch. Here the snow-white beach meets the typical African bush. In Sadani National Park you can meet giraffe, buffalo, antelopes of all shapes and colors, leopard, hyena, jackal. The rivers mangroves are home to hippos, crocodiles and spindly-legged flamingos. In the south of Sadani National Park you can see sharp-nosed dolphins jumping out of the ocean. Каменный Город - это исторический центр остова. Посмотрим старый рынок, который был основан в 1904 году. Огромные фруктовые ряды, диковинные плоды и специи. Кроме товара рынок дает нам возможность почувствовать пульс этого африкано-мусульманского острова, услышать многогососицу разных диалектов местных языков. После рынка мы направляемся к Англиканскому Кафедральному Собору, построенному Бишопом Стирсом в 1874 году рядом с рынком, где торговали человеческим товаром. Ведь Занзибар был одним из самых крупных центров работорговли. Мы увидим помещения, где держали рабов.
Посетим Национальный Музей Занзибара, который перенесет нас назад в прошлое к 1925 году. Среди экспонатов много реликтовых предметов эпохи султаната и предметов, свидетельствующих о ранних исследователях Восточной Африки.
Еще один исторический памятник эпохи великих открытий – Португальский Форт (1700 год) и загадочный House of Wonders (1883).
Прогулка по узким старинным улочкам Каменного города, где сохранилось много домов полутора вековой давности.
